  • Operates four fire stations located in Beardmore, Geraldton, Longlac, and Nakina
  • Responsible for fire prevention and administration of the Ontario Fire Code
  • Responds to fire alarms, structural fires, auto extrication/rescues, wildland fires, and hazardous material spills
  • Maintains and operates a fleet of 8 pumpers, 1 aerial ladder, 3 rescue units, 1 tanker truck, 4 command units, a full complement of specialized rescue and extrication equipment, tools, and equipment required to fight structural fires
  • Provides fire safety and prevention education
  • Provides fire inspection upon complaint and request
