Description des services:	Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following: Child and Family Services worker on-reserve provided through Tikinagan Child and Family Services in Sioux Lookout Hospital services available at Meno Ya Win Health Centre in Sioux Lookout and Margaret Cochenour Hospital in Red Lake Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Nishnawbe-Aski Police Services, Northwest Region; local ph: 807-478-2571; fax: 807-478-2563 Language spoken is known as Swampy Cree and people are referred to as Mushkegowuk, meaning people who live in the muskeg Offers one main store (Northern) and several small private businesses including "Warchief Native Apparel" that sells a Native clothing line Provides the Niska Inn Hotel, phone 807-478-2657; for reservations call 807-478-2572 Provides a few churches of various denominations Operates a Canada Post postal service Operates a community radio station and a cable television service which includes a local channel to advertise current events and community news Offers a community Internet service and mobile phone (cellular) service Coordinates a Canoe Restoration Project, involving community youth to help restore historic canoes Serviced by daily flights with Wasaya Airways and charter air service; airport maintained and serviced by the Ministry of Transportation Ontario Hosts an annual 3-day fall caribou hunt for community members Participates in the Junior Canadian Rangers Program for youth (12-18 years) which teaches various skills including but not limited to first aid, using rifles safely, hunting and fishing, Native customs and traditions, healthy living, staying in school and problematic alcohol and substance use awareness Fort Severn is a dry community and ALL arriving passengers at airport and via winter road undergo a luggage check for alcohol and/or illegal substance Offers the E-Centre for community members to access computers Administers Wasaho Cree Nation School Offers health services through the Nursing Station Services et programmes: Housing Department Ontario Works Public Works Department Nursing Station
