Description of Services: Preoperative assessment to support paediatric patients and their parents prepare for surgery * program is offered to children three years of age and older

Support includes:
  • tours of paediatric inpatient services, operation room, recovery room, and short stay unit
  • hands on teaching with stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, weight scales, and dressing up in hospitals hats and masks
  • a puppet demonstration of an intravenous, oxygen mask, and anesthetic facemasks

Application: Medical referral required for most services
