Description of Services: 24-bed unit for patients who require advanced ventilation, technological and hemodynamic support to overcome the complex challenges of transplantation, complex medical and surgical conditions, shock syndrome, and multisystem organ failure

Care includes:
  • solid organ transplantation
  • cardiopulmonary failure
  • adult respiratory distress syndrome
  • sepsis
  • multi organ dysfunction
  • pulmonary hypertension
  • pulmonary thrombosis
  • shock syndrome
  • renal failure
  • advanced medical conditions and co-morbidities
  • post-op complicated surgical cases

Fees: Most services are covered by OHIP
Application: Medical referral required for most services
