  • Focuses on 3 main themes: children, family and community
  • "A Kitchen for Our Community" offers opportunities for older adults, men, women, teens and children to come together to cook and learn about food and nutrition
  • Works with parents, future parents and caregivers of children to respond to the needs and concerns they have in raising their children
  • Participants are actively involved in program development and implementation as peer leaders
  • Provides free child care while parent participates in programs
  • Provides nutritional snacks at all programs at no cost
  • Offers evening and weekend programming for young teen parents
  • Offers prenatal and postnatal support to teens, women and their families
  • Provides bus transportation for participants to attend programs
  • Participates as a member of the Food Action Network
    • Offers various programs including the following:
    • Community Kitchens
    • Drop-Ins
    • Planning Team
    • Parenting Programs
    • Pre and Post Natal Support
    • Home Visiting Program
    • Roots of Empathy Program
    • Big Brothers Big Sisters Program
