Description of Services: Osler Emergency Department includes GEM nurses. These nurses:

  • assess patients to identify their health, functional, emotional cognitive and social needs
  • link seniors to community services
  • provide education to patients, their families and Emergency Department staff
  • support seamless transitions between the Emergency Department and community health care services
